Motorcycle hits pedestrian: 1 dead, 2 injured in tragic accident

The incident occurred around 05:00 in the morning on Teyyareci Mehmet Ali Street in the Yıldırım district of Bursa, when a foreign national identified as V.E.E. was riding a motorcycle with license plate 16 MA 2592, and a person identified as S.K., who is alleged to have a mental disability, suddenly jumped onto the road. 

Although V.E.E. applied the brakes and attempted to maneuver, he struck S.K. As a result of the collision, the motorcycle rider V.E.E., the passenger Amjad Zaitoun, and S.K. were injured. Upon notification, numerous police and ambulance teams were dispatched to the scene. While police teams took security measures in the area, medical teams provided the first intervention to the injured at the scene. 

Amjad Zaitoun, who was a passenger on the motorcycle and was critically injured in the accident, lost his life at the Bursa Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital, where he had been taken. It was learned that the treatments for the driver V.E.E. and the pedestrian S.K. are ongoing.

The police have launched an investigation into the accident.
