New appointment and dismissal decisions from Erdoğan: Published in the Official Gazette

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s signature on a decision published in the Official Gazette has resulted in the appointment of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yasin Ekrem Serim as the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and Foreign Policy Advisory Board Member Murat Salim Esenli as the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the United Mexican States.

With the same decision, Deputy General Manager of Agricultural Research and Policies at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Halil Sözmen, was dismissed from his post.

Ersin Dilber was appointed to the vacant position of General Manager of Food and Control at the Ministry; Salih Çelik, previously a Deputy General Manager at the same institution, was appointed as General Manager of Plant Production; Mustafa Altuğ Atalay, General Manager of Fisheries and Aquaculture, was appointed as General Manager of Agricultural Research and Policies; Turgay Türkyılmaz, a Deputy General Manager at the same institution, was appointed as General Manager of Fisheries and Aquaculture; Osman Yıldız, a Deputy General Manager at the same institution, was appointed as General Manager of Agricultural Reform; Ferhat Çolak, a Deputy General Manager at the same institution, was appointed as General Manager of European Union and Foreign Relations; and Ahmet Abdullah Antalyalı was appointed as the President of the Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution. Additionally, Istanbul Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Ahmet Yavuz Karaca was dismissed from his post and replaced by Yalova Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Suat Parıldar.

According to the decision, Abdullah Buğrahan Karaveli was appointed as the President of the Türkiye Energy, Nuclear and Mineral Research Agency and its Executive Board.

With the decision, the sections of the decree dated 22.02.2024 and numbered 2024/41 regarding the appointment of Hakkari Provincial Mufti İsmail Fakirullahoğlu to the Tunceli Provincial Muftiate and the appointment of Tunceli Provincial Mufti Şevket Dilmaç to the Hakkari Provincial Muftiate were cancelled. Erzincan Provincial Mufti Muharrem Gül was appointed as the Eskişehir Provincial Mufti; Hakkari Provincial Mufti İsmail Fakirullahoğlu as the Erzincan Provincial Mufti; Hüseyin Okuş as the Hakkari Provincial Mufti; Amasya Provincial Mufti Durmuş Ayvaz as the Kayseri Provincial Mufti; Kars Provincial Mufti Hamza Bayram as the Amasya Provincial Mufti; Yavuz Yıldız as the Kars Provincial Mufti; Mustafa Şanver as the Tunceli Provincial Mufti; Karabük Provincial Mufti Ercan Aksu as the Edirne Provincial Mufti; Bilecik Provincial Mufti Ali Eruh as the Karabük Provincial Mufti; Şırnak Provincial Mufti Ahmet Dilek as the Bilecik Provincial Mufti; and Orhan Örnek as the Şırnak Provincial Mufti.
