New development in the massacre-like accident on the Northern Marmara Motorway!

The procedures at the Adapazarı Gendarmerie Command have been completed for the bus drivers H.Ö, M.D, F.Ç, S.S, H.A., and E.A., as well as the truck driver O.K., who were detained yesterday in connection with the accident involving 7 vehicles, including 3 buses and a truck, in the Taşkısığı area of the motorway's Istanbul-bound direction.

The suspects were taken to the courthouse after undergoing health checks. Following their interrogation by the prosecutor's office, suspects E.A., H.A., and M.D. were released.

Among the suspects, H.Ö., the driver of the Metro Turizm bus with license plate 50 ACV 195 traveling from Kayseri to Istanbul; S.S., the driver of the Kamil Koç bus with license plate 34 CYN 109 traveling from Ankara to Istanbul; and O.K., the driver of the truck with license plate 01 ZT 460, were arrested on charges of causing the death and injury of multiple people through negligence, while F.Ç. was released under judicial control conditions.

Meanwhile, when asked by journalists about the accident as they were being brought to the courthouse, one driver, who was seen with a cast on his leg and a bandage on his nose, said, "I remember. The truck had crashed, I saw it at the last moment and swerved to the left. I hit a car in front."

In the accident yesterday on the Sakarya section of the Northern Marmara Motorway, which involved 7 vehicles including 3 buses—one of which was carrying people returning from a funeral ceremony in Giresun—and 1 truck, 10 people died and 63 were injured.
