An investigation has been launched against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was arrested as part of a corruption investigation into the İBB, on charges of "insulting a public official."
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office initiated the investigation, alleging that İmamoğlu made statements containing insults toward judicial officials during his testimony regarding the charge of "aiding an armed terrorist organization."

HE WILL GIVE TESTIMONY TOMORROW
İmamoğlu will provide his testimony regarding the new charges against him tomorrow at 13:00 via SEGBİS from Silivri Prison.
In his testimony on March 23, İmamoğlu had stated, "I see the criminal accusations of 2 prosecutors who have set up a complete trap and ambush order. All of them are garbage to me."
