NEW Party earthquake in CHP: 39 provincial executives and 36 district chairs resign from the party
In CHP Istanbul, Özgür Çelik, who left his post as provincial chair following Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's return to the chairmanship, has resigned along with 39 provincial executives and 36 district chairs in Istanbul.
In addition to Özgür Çelik, one of the figures removed from office and referred to disciplinary action with a request for expulsion by the Kılıçdaroğlu administration, 39 provincial executives and 36 district chairs have resigned from the party. The resigning figures are expected to join the New Party founded by Özgür Özel.
While the repercussions of Özgür Özel's resignation from the CHP along with 90 deputies to found the New Party continue, defections from the CHP are also ongoing. Following Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's return to the chairmanship due to a court ruling of absolute nullity, Özgür Çelik, one of the figures whom Kılıçdaroğlu removed from his post as Istanbul Provincial Chair and referred to disciplinary action with a request for expulsion, has made the expected move.
THEY RESIGNED FROM CHP
Özgür Çelik has resigned from the CHP. Along with Çelik, 39 provincial executives and 36 district chairs have also parted ways with the CHP. The resigning figures are expected to join the New Party en masse.
On the other hand, the day before yesterday, Özel, who announced clear figures for the first time regarding local administrators who will wear the party badge, had announced that a massive wave of participation would begin across Turkey.
OVER 200 MUNICIPALITIES ARE JOINING THE NEW PARTY
Declaring that a major participation process will begin starting tomorrow, Özgür Özel had explained the will of mayors across Turkey to join the party with the following words: "Starting tomorrow, over 200 municipalities will express their will to join the New Party."
