Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on his X social media account that 23 suspects, who were wanted by Interpol with Red Notices, Green Notices, and Diffusion Messages (Urgent Arrest Messages), were captured in the "Kafes-43" operation conducted simultaneously across 6 provinces.

Minister Yerlikaya noted the following in his statement:

With the "KAFES-43" operations conducted simultaneously in 6 provinces, 23 suspects wanted by 12 countries via Interpol Red Notices, Green Notices, and Diffusion Messages (Urgent Arrest Messages) were captured.

I want our noble nation to know that; no matter the size, no matter the notice under which they are sought, we will not give breathing room to international organized crime groups, migrant smuggling organizers, or drug traffickers who disturb the peace of our people. We will put them all into the cage one by one. Under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security Intelligence Presidency; as a result of the work carried out by the Interpol-Europol Department and the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Department, operations were conducted by our Provincial Police Departments in 6 provinces, namely Ankara, Antalya, Bursa, Istanbul, Izmir, and Van;

"KAFES-43" operations were carried out against 23 individuals wanted by 12 countries, namely Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, South Korea, Iraq, Iran, Switzerland, Kazakhstan, Romania, Russia, Turkmenistan, and Jordan, with Interpol Red Notices, Green Notices, and Diffusion Messages (Urgent Arrest Messages).

It was determined that the suspects captured in the operations had arrest records for homicide, terror crimes, fraud, breach of trust, money laundering, membership in criminal organizations, drugs, and smuggling. All 23 individuals who were sought by Interpol and determined to be in our country after meticulous investigations by our police were captured. Our security forces are continuing their scans.

I congratulate our heroic police officers who carried out the operations. May God protect them. The prayers of our nation are with you.
