According to a statement by the Directorate of Communications, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. Regional and global issues were addressed during the bilateral meeting.

"Our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, held a phone call with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. Regional and global issues were discussed during the meeting.
During the meeting, President Erdoğan stated that Turkey is doing its utmost to end the war between Ukraine and Russia and will continue to do its part, that he has maintained contact with many leaders and representatives of international organizations, including the warring parties, and that a fair and lasting peace is possible.
President Erdoğan noted that Turkey is making efforts to end wars in its region and across the world, and that it is important for the international community to contribute to Turkey's efforts to stop wars and build peace."
