Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Torbalı were discussing action plans similar to recent school attacks across the country in a WhatsApp group chat they had created. Messages exchanged in the 20-person group named “12/A Avionics” prompted security units to take action.

Following surveillance, gendarmerie teams identified the suspect students and conducted simultaneous raids on numerous addresses. During the operation, 12th-grade students T.Y., A.K., A.E.Ö., E.K., R.D., F.G., Ç.S., and A.Ç. were detained on allegations of preparing for an attack.

Digital materials and personal belongings seized from the suspects have been taken for detailed examination. Within the scope of the investigation, findings regarding whether the individuals in the messaging group were organizing the attack idea are being researched. According to the information received, many of the students claimed in their statements that the plan was not serious.

While the interrogations of the detained students continue at the District Gendarmerie Command, it was reported that the incident is being investigated in every aspect by the Public Prosecutor's Office.
