Tenant who argued with landlord blows up building!

Bursa witnessed a tragic end to a dispute between a landlord and a tenant. The tenant, angry at the landlord, opened the natural gas valve in their ground-floor apartment. The resulting gas buildup caused an explosion in the building. While the building sustained heavy damage, the windows of all apartments were shattered. The tenant was injured.

The incident occurred in the Kayapa Neighborhood of the central Nilüfer district. According to information obtained, Atakan A., who lived on the ground floor of the 3-story building, argued with the owner of the house he had been living in for 1 year, Hüseyin Ballı, for an as-yet-unknown reason.

Following the argument, Atakan A. opened the natural gas valves in the house. A massive explosion occurred due to gas buildup in the home.

The sound, heard by neighborhood residents with a loud noise, turned the scene into a virtual war zone. Numerous police, medical, fire, Bursagaz, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the scene, where windows and doors were shattered.

GREAT PANIC ENSUED

As the natural gas exploded with a loud noise due to the buildup, neighborhood residents poured into the streets in a panic, trying to understand what had happened.

The tenant, Atakan A., was burned and injured in the explosion. Medical teams arriving at the scene transferred the injured tenant to the Burn Center at Bursa City Hospital after initial intervention.

"I wanted to turn off the valve, but the tenant had removed the handle," said landlord Hüseyin Ballı, adding, "He had turned on the natural gas from inside. I wanted to turn off the valve, but he had removed the handle. As soon as I went outside, there was an explosion sound and it blew up. He did it deliberately. There was a 'boom' sound. Everything was destroyed. He fled after the explosion. There was a pregnant woman on the top floor. Fortunately, she was not at home. She might have even lost her baby," he said.

Landlords who received the news were moved to tears at the scene.

On the other hand, it was alleged that Atakan A. had psychological problems.
