They set up a company in Hungary and sold millions of euros worth of livestock to the ESK

Following allegations that the General Manager of the Meat and Milk Board (ESK), Mücahid Taylan, is linked to a meat trading company operating in Hungary, new information regarding the institution's 2023 import transactions is coming to light.

According to a report by Bahadır Özgür from Halk TV, it is alleged that the ESK signed five separate contracts for cattle imports throughout 2023. In this context, it is stated that a total of 13 thousand head of slaughter cattle were purchased, and 22 million 535 thousand Euros were paid in return.

IT IS CLAIMED THAT ALL CONTRACTS WERE SIGNED WITH THE SAME COMPANY

It is alleged that all five of the contracts in question were signed with the Hungary-based Koletich Laszlo Attila EV. It is highlighted that the company's owner, Koletich Laszlo Attila, has a history of partnership with individuals who also operate in Turkey.

According to the allegations, Koletich Laszlo Attila founded the company Livestock Turkey Trade Hayvancılık in 2018 in the Gelibolu district of Çanakkale together with Osman Kuş. It is stated that one year later, the same partners launched a second company in Hungary called Livestock Agent Hungary. It is noted that these companies subsequently began supplying slaughter cattle to Turkey.

According to the allegations, the first contract of the ESK was signed on January 13, 2023. It is claimed that 2,500 head of cattle were purchased under this contract and a payment of 4 million 60 thousand Euros was made.

In the second contract dated March 1, 2023, it is alleged that 3 million 500 thousand Euros were paid for 2,000 head of cattle originating from Hungary, Czechia, and Slovakia.

In the third contract, which is stated to have been signed on April 11, 2023, it is alleged that a payment of 4 million 375 thousand Euros was made for 2,500 head of animals brought from the same countries.
