Tragic news: 13-year-old wrestler passes away
13-year-old Yusuf Taha Turp, who wrestled for Yıldırım Belediyespor in Bursa, has passed away in the hospital after falling ill in Istanbul, where he had traveled to attend the Presidential Oil Wrestling Cup. It was reported that Turp suffered a brain embolism.

Turp fell ill in Istanbul on September 26, where he had traveled to attend the Presidential Oil Wrestling Cup. The young wrestler was rushed to Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital.
Medical examinations revealed that Yusuf Taha Turp had suffered a brain embolism. Turp, who was treated in the hospital's intensive care unit, passed away this morning.
It was learned that Yusuf Taha Turp, an 8th-grade student at Adnan Menderes İmam Hatip Secondary School, had become the Turkish champion in both freestyle and Greco-Roman styles at this year's U13 Turkish Wrestling Championship.
Turp's body is expected to be retrieved from Istanbul by his family and taken to Bursa. The young wrestler will be laid to rest following a funeral ceremony to be held tomorrow.
