An explosion occurred at a kiosk in Istanbul's Beyoğlu district. As a result of the explosion, the building partially collapsed, and fire, AFAD, and UMKE teams were dispatched to the scene. In a statement regarding the incident, the Istanbul Governor's Office stated that there were no deaths or injuries.

NUMEROUS TEAMS DISPATCHED

The explosion occurred at a kiosk located on the ground floor of a 2-story building on Yanıkkapı Street in the Bereketzade neighborhood of Beyoğlu. The building partially collapsed due to the explosion. Fire, police, medical, AFAD, and UMKE teams were dispatched to the scene.

NO DEATHS OR INJURIES

In the statement made by the Istanbul Governor's Office regarding the incident, it was stated, "At approximately 21:45 on Wednesday, an explosion of undetermined cause occurred at a kiosk located on the ground floor of a ground-plus-2-story building on Yanıkkapı Street in the Bereketzade neighborhood of Beyoğlu district. Following the explosion, the building collapsed, and numerous fire, AFAD, and UMKE teams were dispatched to the scene. According to initial findings, it has been determined that there are no deaths or injuries, and the teams' work at the scene is ongoing."

GOVERNOR GÜL MADE A STATEMENT AT THE SCENE

Istanbul Governor Gül, who conducted inspections at the building where the explosion took place, subsequently made a press statement. Gül provided information that there were no deaths or injuries in the building where the explosion occurred. Stating that there was no major damage to surrounding buildings, Gül said that only the windows of nearby buildings were damaged.

Stating that the explosion may have been caused by two gas cylinders located in the kiosk under the building, Gül noted that the necessary investigations are continuing.
