Another piece of bad news for retirees! No welfare share
Following the 6-month inflation rate of 16.67% announced by TÜİK, the expected welfare share from the AKP did not materialize. AKP Group Chairman Abdullah Güler announced that the lowest pension has been increased only by the inflation rate to 16,881 TL.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has shared the Consumer Price Index (CPI) data for the first half of 2025. June inflation was recorded at 1.37%, while the annual rate was 35.05%. Thus, the 6-month inflation difference was finalized at 16.67%.
RETIREES RECEIVED ONLY THE INFLATION RAISE
SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees will receive their salaries in July increased by this inflation rate. However, the welfare share expected by millions of retirees was not granted this time. The economic management did not make any decision for an additional increase.
LOWEST PENSION BECAME 16,881 TL
AKP Group Chairman Abdullah Güler announced in his statement that the lowest pension has been raised from 14,469 TL to 16,881 TL with a 16.67% increase. Güler stated that this increase is based solely on CPI data and that no other adjustments will be made.
