Central Bank extends credit growth calculation period
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey aims to strengthen the monetary transmission mechanism by extending credit growth calculation periods to 8 weeks.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) has decided to extend the calculation period for credit growth limits from 4 weeks to 8 weeks.
With this change, while credit growth rates remain the same, they have been adjusted to be compatible with the new period length.
The purpose of this regulation is to ensure the market mechanism functions more effectively and to further strengthen the monetary transmission mechanism.
The decision in question has entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette.
