Erdoğan signs: Priorities for the new term budget announced

The "2027-2029 Period Budget Call," bearing the signature of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, along with the "2027-2029 Period Budget Preparation Guide" included in the annex of the call, has been published in the Official Gazette.

The regulation establishes the framework that public administrations within the scope of central government will follow while preparing their new term budget proposals. The guide outlines the principles and priorities to be taken as a basis during the budget preparation process.

In the call, it was stated that the Medium-Term Program covering the 2027-2029 period has been published to guide the preparation work for the central government budget, and that the fundamental objectives of economic and fiscal policies have been determined in the program.

The text emphasized that the primary goal, in line with the 2024-2028 targets of the Twelfth Development Plan, is to strengthen macroeconomic and financial stability, maintain fiscal discipline, and establish price stability in a way that contributes to fair income distribution.

The budget call also listed goals such as supporting productivity growth, developing R&D and innovation capacity, strengthening human capital, accelerating green and digital transformation processes, increasing the efficiency of the labor market, improving the investment environment, and reducing the informal economy.

It was stated that these goals will be taken into account during the budget preparation process in order to strengthen sustainable and inclusive growth.
