First figure for civil servant and pensioner January raise announced

With the announcement of the August inflation data, calculations regarding the salary increase that civil servants and civil servant pensioners will receive in January 2027 have returned to the agenda. The July and August data have revealed the first two-month outlook for the inflation difference that will occur in the second half of the year.

According to the current two-month picture, a 3.66 percent portion of the January raise for civil servants and civil servant pensioners has already been formed. The final raise rate will be finalized once the inflation data for the remaining months of the year is completed.

In the salary increase to be applied in January, the inflation difference will be taken into account in addition to the collective bargaining agreement raise. For this reason, the final rate will become clear after the December inflation is announced.

The collective bargaining agreement raise to be applied to civil servants and civil servant pensioners for 2027 was set at 5 percent for the first six months of the year and 4 percent for the second six months. The portion of inflation that exceeds the collective bargaining increase will be reflected in salaries as a difference.

Although the calculation process has begun following the July and August data, the final salary table for millions of civil servants and civil servant pensioners will emerge with the year's final inflation data.
