Pensioner pay raise passes in Parliament! When will the new salaries be paid? Here are the new salaries

Within the scope of the Bill on Amendments to Certain Laws accepted in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), the lowest pension was increased by 15.75 percent from 12,500 TL to 14,469 TL.

With this regulation:

Approximately 3 million 800 thousand people who receive a pension below 12,500 TL will be directly affected by this raise.

Following the increases made as of January 2025, the number of people whose salary rises to 14,469 TL will reach 3 million 870 thousand.

The cost of this increase to the budget was calculated at approximately 47.7 billion TL.

WHEN WILL PENSION SALARY DIFFERENCES BE PAID?

With the new regulation becoming law, pensioners whose base salary was 10,383 TL and below had not received any raise in January. For these pensioners, difference payments will be deposited into their accounts in the first week of February.

Difference payments will be as follows:

A difference of 1,969 TL will be paid to pensioners whose base salary is 10,383 TL and who received a salary of 12,500 TL in January.

A difference of 1,227 TL will be paid to those whose base salary is 11,000 TL and who received a salary of 13,241 TL in January.

A difference of 625 TL will be paid to those whose base salary is 11,500 TL and who received a salary of 13,843 TL in January.

Following the raise made to pensions, the new salaries of pensioners receiving between 12,500 TL and 26,000 TL have been calculated down to the last penny.
