TCDD hikes High-Speed Train ticket fares! How much is the Istanbul-Ankara route?
TCDD Transportation has increased fares for High-Speed Train (YHT) and regional train tickets as of January 13, 2025. The price for the Ankara-Istanbul line has risen from 540 TL to 780 TL. It is stated that the increase remains below inflation rates.
The Republic of Türkiye State Railways (TCDD) Transportation Inc. has adjusted ticket prices for High-Speed Trains (YHT), main line, and regional trains as of January 13, 2025.
With the new tariff, the fare for the Ankara-Istanbul line, one of the most popular YHT routes, has been set at 780 TL.
The price increase on this line, which was previously 540 TL, has drawn attention.
TCDD Transportation explained the reasons for the price increases in a written statement. The statement included the following:
"Dear passengers, as of January 13, 2025, our ticket tariffs for High-Speed Trains, main line, and regional trains have been updated with a rate below inflation and revaluation rates. We will continue to offer you economical and comfortable travel opportunities."
HOW MUCH ARE THE 2025 YHT TICKET PRICES?
Following the hike, the new prices for YHT routes have been determined as follows:
Ankara-Istanbul: 780 TL (old price: 540 TL)
Ankara-Konya: 360 TL (old price: 250 TL)
Ankara-Eskişehir: 390 TL (old price: 280 TL)
It was also noted that ticket prices for main line and regional trains other than the High-Speed Train have been updated.
