When will pension difference payments be made? How are SSK and Bağ-Kur pensions calculated?

Following the 6-month inflation rate announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the increases to be applied to retiree and civil servant pensions have been determined. While SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees will receive a 15.75 percent raise, an 11.54 percent increase will be applied to Emekli Sandığı retirees. The raise rates have been made accessible via e-Devlet.

HOW MUCH IS THE LOWEST PENSION?

The lowest pension, which was raised to 12,500 TL in July, has been increased to 14,469 TL with the inflation adjustment. However, this figure will be finalized through a regulation to be made in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). If the regulation is not completed by the payment date, retirees will receive the previous base pension, and the difference will be deposited into their accounts later.

WHEN WILL THE NEW PENSIONS BE PAID?

According to the report by Sabah, the increased pensions will be paid starting from January.

SSK and survivor's pensions: January 17-26

Bağ-Kur pensions: January 25-28

If the base pension regulation is delayed, retirees will first be paid 12,500 TL, which will later be topped up to 14,469 TL.

HOW IS THE BASE PENSION CALCULATED?

The following method is used to determine the new pensions:

1. A 15.75 percent raise will be applied to the December base pension.

2. A 4 percent additional payment (5 percent if the base pension is below 9,495 TL) will be added to the resulting figure.

3. If the total amount remains below 14,469 TL, the difference will be covered by Treasury support.

HOW TO VIEW PENSIONS ON E-DEVLET?

New pensions can be checked via e-Devlet. Retirees can learn their new pension information by following these steps:

1. Log in to the e-Devlet system.

2. Open the Pension Payment Information section.

3. Find the section labeled "Additional Payment Amount".

4. You can find the base pension by multiplying the figure by 25, and the pension including the additional payment by multiplying it by 26.

HOW WILL SURVIVORS BENEFIT FROM THE NEW RAISES?

Citizens receiving survivor's pensions will benefit proportionally from the determined base pension increase.

Pensions in this group will also be subject to the same raise rates and will be finalized after the new regulation.
