Household inflation expectations have risen

The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) has published the "Sectoral Inflation Expectations" data for September 2026. The data indicated a limited increase in 12-month annual inflation expectations among households and market participants.

Accordingly, the annual inflation expectation of households for the next 12 months increased by 0.02 points compared to the previous month, reaching 45.60 percent. The expectation of market participants also rose by 0.01 points to 23.70 percent.

Meanwhile, the real sector's 12-month annual inflation expectation fell by 0.30 points during the same period, declining to 32.50 percent.

The CBRT data also highlighted a decline in the proportion of households expecting inflation to fall over the next 12 months. This rate was recorded at 16.25 percent, a decrease of 0.60 points compared to the previous month.
