Minister Şimşek announces: 'The positive trend in reserves will continue'
Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek stated in a post on his X account, "With the decreasing need for external financing and accelerating foreign capital inflows, the positive trend in reserves will continue."
Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek made an assessment on his social media account following the weekly money and banking statistics released today. Stating that "The CBRT's foreign exchange position is improving, and net reserves excluding swaps have increased by 26.7 billion dollars since the beginning of April," Şimşek emphasized that the positive trend in reserves will continue.

"The CBRT's foreign exchange position is improving, and net reserves excluding swaps have increased by 26.7 billion dollars since the beginning of April.
Our program is working, the current account deficit is falling through rebalancing, macro-financial stability is strengthening, and confidence is increasing.
With the decreasing need for external financing and accelerating foreign capital inflows, the positive trend in reserves will continue."
