The city where foreigners acquire the most property in Turkey has been revealed
Steps toward digitalization and urban transformation have significantly increased Turkey's real estate inventory. Thanks to Web Tapu and other digital systems, title deed transactions have become faster and more transparent. The cities that stand out in property acquisitions by foreigners are noteworthy.
In Turkey, there are real estate properties registered under the names of 56 million 444 thousand 163 people. Digitalization and urban transformation efforts, which have gained momentum in recent years, have expanded the country's real estate inventory.
The Land Registry and Cadastre Information System (TAKBİS) and Web Tapu applications allow citizens to access their property information online. Through these systems, sales and authorization transactions can be carried out in a digital environment, thereby shortening transaction times and facilitating access to public services.
The systems developed by the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre allow for the management of ownership records in a faster, more secure, and transparent manner. Across Turkey, there are 59 million 374 thousand 687 parcels and 24 million 964 thousand 185 independent units registered in the land registry.
The number of real estate properties owned by foreign individuals has reached 341 thousand 470. Among the provinces with the highest density of foreign ownership are Antalya, Istanbul, Muğla, Mersin, Aydın, and Ankara. Foreigners' real estate preferences are generally concentrated on residential and tourism-oriented properties.
