Additional security is being introduced for title deed transactions conducted over the internet. The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change is continuing its preparations for the "Türkiye Tapu" application. The application is planned to be launched by the end of 2024. The goal is to increase transparency and security in title deeds.
Electronic signature will be required
According to TRT Haber, users of the application will be required to provide a mobile or electronic signature. The process will be able to be carried out regardless of person or location. Title deed transactions will be able to be completed quickly and practically.
With the launch of the application, it is aimed to perform title deed inquiries, fee calculations, applications, cancellations, and transfer transactions. In addition, title deed donations, mortgages, and cancellation transactions are also within the scope of the application.
Title deed era at notaries
The application, which allows the sale of immovable properties such as land, fields, residences, and workplaces to be carried out at notaries, began in July. With the legal regulation that came into effect with the judicial package on July 28 last year, it was made possible for immovable property sales to also be carried out at notaries.
