YENİ Party's Deniz Yavuzyılmaz issued a warning regarding a new tariff regulation that he stated will be implemented for electricity bills starting in 2027.
Yavuzyılmaz claimed that, based on a decision made by EMRA, residential subscribers whose total electricity consumption in 2026 exceeds 3,000 kilowatt-hours will be removed from the fixed-price tariff as of January 1, 2027.
According to the post shared by Deniz Yavuzyılmaz on his social media account, the regulation will cover residential subscribers whose total annual electricity bill exceeds 9,864 TL.
It was argued that these subscribers will be included in the variable price tariff, where the market clearing price applies.
The post recalled that similar practices had previously been implemented for subscribers whose annual consumption exceeded 5,000 and 4,000 kilowatt-hours. Yavuzyılmaz stated that with the new threshold, subscribers whose annual consumption exceeds 3,000 kilowatt-hours will also be evaluated under the "last resort supply tariff."
According to the calculation shared by Yavuzyılmaz, a residential subscriber consuming 250 kilowatt-hours of electricity per month, whose bill is 822 TL, will see it rise to 1,676 TL in 2027. It was stated that the increase rate in this example would be 104 percent.

In the second example, it was noted that a 1,226 TL bill would rise to 2,233 TL, with an increase rate of 82 percent.
YENİ Party's Yavuzyılmaz claimed that subscribers who consume between 3,000 and 4,000 kilowatt-hours annually in 2026 could face increases between 82 percent and 104 percent on their 2027 bills.
Yavuzyılmaz called on consumers to be careful until the end of the year. Stating that electricity consumption should be reduced in November and December, Yavuzyılmaz pointed to the importance of keeping total consumption below 3,000 kilowatt-hours.
