When will the lowest pension difference be paid? Date for 3,552 TL is becoming clear

Following the approval by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) of the regulation that includes increasing the lowest pension to 23,552 TL, millions of retirees have turned their attention to the payment schedule to be announced by the Social Security Institution (SGK).

Once the regulation is published in the Official Gazette and enters into force, the SGK is expected to announce the schedule for the difference payments. Within the scope of the base pension regulation, it is projected that a difference payment of 3,552 TL for the month of July will be made to beneficiaries receiving the lowest pension.

The payments are expected to be deposited into accounts automatically in the first week of August after the legal process is completed. In this context, it is stated that retirees will not need to make a separate application.

HOW WILL THE PAYMENT PROCESS WORK?

July pension payments were made on different dates according to retiree status. While civil servant retirees under 4C received their pensions in the first week of July, payments for SSK retirees under 4A were completed between July 17-26. Pension payments for Bağ-Kur retirees under 4B continue until July 28.

However, since the regulation has not yet been published in the Official Gazette, those receiving the lowest pension and widow and orphan beneficiaries whose monthly payments have increased have not yet received the 3,552 TL difference.

Once the difference payment begins, the amounts will be deposited into the bank accounts or PTT accounts where retirees receive their pensions. Payments can be checked via the SGK's "Pension Information" service on e-Devlet, through the mobile applications or internet banking channels of the bank where the pension is received, and via bank customer services.

Within the scope of the July 2026 period raises, an increase of 17.76 percent was applied to the base pensions of SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees, and 13.52 percent to the pensions of civil servant retirees. Following the raise applied to base salaries, the lowest pension for retirees remaining below the base pension was increased from 20,000 TL to 23,552 TL.
