Snow alert in Turkey: Where were schools closed on Monday, February 25?

The General Directorate of Meteorology issued yellow and orange code warnings for 4 provinces. Cold weather and heavy snowfall will continue to be effective in many provinces this week.

A new snow alert was issued for next Monday, starting with Ankara. Meanwhile, due to the cold weather affecting Turkey, education was suspended in many provinces on Tuesday, February 25.

Sinop: Education has been suspended in all schools in the city center and the districts of Gerze, Erfelek, Boyabat, Ayancık, Türkeli, and Dikmen; and for bussed education in the Saraydüzü and Durağan districts.

Van: Education has been suspended for 1 day in all official and private formal and non-formal education institutions throughout the province.

Giresun: Education and training have been suspended for one day in all educational institutions throughout the province.

Trabzon: Education and training have been suspended for 1 day in all educational institutions throughout the province.

Bartın: Education has been suspended for one day in all private and official educational institutions throughout the province.

Ordu: Education and training have been suspended for one day in all schools throughout the province.

Samsun: Education and training have been suspended for 1 day in all official, private, formal, and non-formal education institutions affiliated with the Provincial Directorate of National Education, rehabilitation centers, daycare centers affiliated with the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, and need-oriented day-care and 4-6 age Quran courses affiliated with the Mufti's Office.

Kastamonu: Education has been suspended in all educational institutions in the districts of Devrekani, Doğanyurt, Küre, İnebolu, Ağlı, Hanönü, Bozkurt, and Şenpazar; and for bussed education in the Taşköprü and Cide districts.

Artvin: Education and training have been suspended for 1 day in all educational institutions throughout the province.

Zonguldak: Education has been suspended for 1 day in all official and private formal and non-formal education institutions, private daycare centers, day-care homes, children's clubs, and rehabilitation centers throughout the province.
