New regulation from the Ministry of National Education: Skill development programs are coming!

The Ministry of National Education (MEB) has made amendments to the Directive on Support and Training Courses.

According to the changes, public and private formal primary and secondary education institutions will be able to organize skill development programs in line with student requests, aimed at allowing students to discover their talents and acquire fundamental skills.

The fields, durations, student capacity, educational staff, learning environments, and other details regarding these skill development programs will be specified in the e-Guide published by the Ministry and will be coordinated by the General Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education.

Additionally, it will be possible to open courses for Turkish language lessons in international high schools, provided there is a minimum of 10 students.

According to the directive, it will be mandatory for course centers to accept students from schools of the same type located within their registration area, neighboring registration area, and other registration areas. This will allow students to attend summer courses and summer schools within their own residential areas.

Furthermore, courses for Turkish language lessons can be opened for foreign national students studying at international Anatolian imam hatip high schools and international vocational and technical Anatolian high schools, provided there is a minimum of 10 students.
