Flood disaster in Rize captured from the air: Businesses flooded, coastal road turns into a lake
Heavy rainfall in the Eastern Black Sea region has caused flooding in the İyidere district of Rize. Teams have begun cleanup efforts as the floodwaters recede.
Heavy rainfall, which has been effective in the Eastern Black Sea region since yesterday evening, has negatively impacted life in İyidere, one of the coastal districts of Rize. Large areas in the district center were left underwater, and the scene left by the flood was captured from the air.
In the district center located on the Black Sea Coastal Road, roads and some residential areas were covered in muddy water due to the impact of the downpour and the inability of stream waters coming from the mountains to reach the sea. Water puddles formed in most of the region.

As floodwaters began to recede in the morning hours, mud and silt remained in the district center. While municipal teams have started cleaning efforts, Highway teams are also working on water drainage and road cleaning on the Black Sea Coastal Road.
It was stated that the teams are continuing their work in the field to reduce traffic congestion and restore the road to its former state.
