The result of the highly anticipated paternity suit is in: Hacı Sabancı is Uzay's father!

Businessman Hacı Sabancı married Nazlı Kayı in 2021. While his marriage to Nazlı Kayı continues, Hacı Sabancı faced the shock of a paternity suit filed by Fatma D. According to the lawsuit filed at the Istanbul Family Court through lawyer Şeyda Yıldırım, Fatma D. and Hacı Sabancı met 14 years ago via social media.

According to the allegations, the couple met frequently and vacationed together with friends at a hotel in Los Angeles. After the vacation, Hacı Sabancı and Fatma D., who did not see each other until 2015, would meet at the hotel from time to time.

When the couple's relationship soured in 2019, Fatma D. married someone else and settled in Belgium. However, this marriage did not last long. According to the claims in the petition, Fatma D. asked Hacı Sabancı for help in finding a lawyer to divorce her husband. Hacı Sabancı, who committed to paying the legal fees himself, sent money to Fatma D.'s account.

Hacı Sabancı, who messaged Fatma D. while she was living apart from her husband, invited her to his home, and the couple spent the night together. Fatma D., who became pregnant while still married, gave birth to a boy named Uzay on February 2, 2021. The petition stated that Fatma D. frequently sent photos of her newborn child to Hacı Sabancı, and that the relationship between the parties deteriorated after Sabancı learned that the child was his.

FILED A LAWSUIT SAYING "THE CHILD'S FATHER IS HACI SABANCI"

The petition included the following statements: "Fatma D.'s ex-husband filed a lawsuit to deny paternity on the grounds that the child was not his. In order to prevent further victimization of the child, we request a decision to establish the biological link between Hacı Sabancı and the child through DNA testing. We also request that Hacı Sabancı's paternity be established and that the child be registered in the civil registry accordingly."

COURT REFERRED THE CASE TO THE FORENSIC MEDICINE INSTITUTE FOR A PATERNITY TEST

The Istanbul Family Court decided to refer Hacı Sabancı to the Forensic Medicine Institute to determine whether he is the father of the child named Uzay.

Following this court decision, Fatma D. and her 4-year-old son, Uzay, first came to the Istanbul Courthouse to complete the necessary referral procedures and then provided DNA samples at the Forensic Medicine Institute. Hacı Sabancı also went to the Forensic Medicine Institute to undergo a DNA test to determine if he is the father of little Uzay.

According to the report by Hürriyet, the result of the paternity test from the Forensic Medicine Institute has reached the Istanbul Family Court where the case is being heard. The Forensic Medicine report determined that Hacı Sabancı is the father of little Uzay with 99.99 percent certainty. The report included the following statements:

"A comparison was made between the DNA profile belonging to Uzay D., the DNA profile belonging to the mother, Fatma D., and the DNA profile belonging to Hacı Sabancı, who is alleged to be the father. Based on the results obtained, it was determined that there is a 99.99 percent probability that Sabancı is the biological father of Uzay D."
