Who is Münevver in the series Piyasa?

Piyasa, one of the new series on Kanal D, has attracted great attention since its first episode. Münevver, one of the main characters of the series, has a difficult life.

To ensure her sick mother has a better life, Münevver agrees to marry a man she does not actually want but who is financially well-off and wants to marry her.

Coming from a conservative family, Münevver is just like her family. A modest, veiled young woman, Münevver gets married officially. On the very night of her henna ceremony, her mother Safiye passes away. Münevver, who loved her mother very much, feels like a complete stranger when she goes to her new home.

The groom, however, is in a hurry and is eager to consummate the marriage as soon as possible. When the groom forces Münevver into intimacy, Münevver flees the house and takes refuge with Ahsen, her mother's childhood friend, in Istanbul.

In the series Piyasa, this character is played by İlayda Alişan. The 29-year-old İlayda first became widely known for her role as Akşın in the series Çukur. Having since appeared in various series and films, İlayda studied Fashion Design at Bilgi University.
