Preparations are underway for a new practice that concerns millions of people in Turkey who use prescription medications. Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced that a study conducted by the Social Security Institution (SGK) plans to move processes related to prescription medications to a digital environment.
According to a report by Türkiye newspaper, Işıkhan stated that work is being done to integrate prescription medications into the e-Devlet system. The planned practice aims to allow citizens to track the medications they use through a digital platform.
PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION PROCESSES TO BE MOVED TO E-DEVLET
Within the scope of the prepared study, it is envisioned that the tracking of prescription medications will be carried out via e-Devlet. Thus, it is aimed for patients to access their medication information in a digital environment and to track their medication needs more easily.
IT WILL NOT BE NECESSARY TO VISIT A DOCTOR FOR EVERY MEDICATION NEED
With the new practice, it is planned to prevent patients using prescription medications from having to re-apply to a doctor for every medication need. The study, which aims to simplify medication tracking and prescription processes, concerns approximately 20 million people across Turkey.
