New irregularities regarding meat and meat products have drawn attention in the list of imitation and adulteration published by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry as part of its food inspections. The list states that equine meat and pork were detected in some sucuk products.
The Ministry shares products found to have irregularities during inspections with the public under the headings "Foods That Endanger Health" and "Foods Subject to Imitation or Adulteration." The latest list includes sucuk products belonging to businesses in Sakarya, Adana, Bolu, Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Kocaeli, Mersin, Bursa, Balikesir, and Kirklareli.
