A decision was made to release Deputy Mayor Rasim Özdemir, Parks and Gardens Manager Neşe Esen, and Tural Ateş, an employee in the same department, under house arrest as part of the investigation into Bolu Municipality.
As part of the investigation, teams from the Provincial Gendarmerie Command had conducted simultaneous operations at designated addresses on the morning of October 26. It was reported that the operation was carried out regarding allegations of "rigging a tender" and "embezzlement."
During the operation, in addition to Özdemir and Esen, Samet Bilge and Tural Ateş, who work at the Parks and Gardens Directorate, were detained. Following their processing at the gendarmerie, the suspects were referred to the courthouse, where Özdemir, Esen, and Ateş were arrested and sent to prison, while Samet Bilge was released under judicial control conditions.
Upon the lawyers' application for release, the file was re-evaluated. Following the review, it was ruled that the three detained municipal officials be released with the measure of house arrest applied.
