Arrest requests for 52 suspects in Daltonlar criminal organization operation

The 56 suspects detained in the investigation into the Daltonlar criminal organization, conducted under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, have been referred to the Istanbul Courthouse following their processing at the police station.

Following their statements to the prosecutor, 52 suspects, including the father of Mustafa Aktürk, who is identified as an organization leader, were sent to the judgeship with a request for their arrest. While judicial control was requested for 3 individuals, it was reported that hospital documents are being awaited to determine the referral status of 1 suspect.

A large number of individuals were apprehended in the operation carried out across 30 provinces with its center in Istanbul as part of the investigation. According to the assessment of authorities, it is believed that Berat Can Gökdemir, who uses the code name “Can Dalton” and is the subject of an Interpol Red Notice, manages the organization from abroad.

The case file includes allegations that the organization recruited hitmen via social media platforms, directed these individuals to be used in criminal acts, and planned attacks in a WhatsApp group named “Dalton Brothers.” It was noted that the individuals identified as preparing for attacks in the messaging group were identified one by one.
