It has been learned that a disciplinary investigation has been launched by the Sincan Women's Closed Prison administration against YENİ Party Manisa Provincial Chair İlksen Özalper, who was arrested in August as part of an investigation into a "criminal organization for profit" and "bribery" conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
In a letter written from prison, Özalper stated that on October 27, she was kept waiting for a long time in the lawyer meeting booth after being taken to the SEGBİS room for a detention review. Expressing that she has been suffering from panic attacks for about a year and that this condition is known to the prison authorities, Özalper alleged that no medical intervention was provided despite her requests for help when she fell ill.
Özalper reported that during the incident, she moved to the lawyer's side to reach the emergency call button, telling the officers that she was "not in a condition to see a lawyer" and that she wanted to be removed from where she was. In her letter, she included the statement, "Although I had a panic attack for more than an hour, I was neither removed from where I was, nor was any medical intervention performed."
According to Özalper's account, three days after the incident, on October 30, she was served with disciplinary investigation documents. Arguing that the incident was reported incompletely and incorrectly in the documents, Özalper said, "A narrative has been constructed as if I had caused a scene for no reason by shouting, 'I am Özgür Özel's friend.'"
Voicing her allegations against the prison administration, Özalper announced that she would file a criminal complaint against Sincan Women's Closed Prison Director Candaş Orhan Akdemir.

İlksen Özalper was taken to Ankara after being detained on August 5 and was transferred to Sincan Women's Closed Prison after being arrested at the end of the legal process. It was reported that the investigation was being conducted in line with the statements given by the suspended Mayor of Uşak, Özkan Yalım, under effective remorse provisions, as well as MASAK reports and HTS records.
