Indictment completed regarding Güllü's death: A trap set with a Roman dance song!

The investigation into the death of singer Gül Tut, known by the name “Güllü,” who lost her life after falling from the window of her 6th-floor apartment in the Çınarcık district of Yalova, has been completed. In the indictment prepared by the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an aggravated life sentence was requested for the artist's daughter, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, on the charge of “premeditated murder of a lineal ascendant.”

Sultan Nur Ulu, who was in the house on the night of the incident, was included in the indictment as the second defendant. A prison sentence of up to 4 years was requested for Ulu on the charge of “perjury” due to her changing statements during different stages of the investigation.

Güllü lost her life on September 26, 2025, after falling from the window of a room belonging to her daughter in a building in the Harmanlar neighborhood of the Çınarcık district. The indictment stated the height of the fall as approximately 18.17 meters. It was noted that the artist died as a result of internal bleeding caused by skull and spinal fractures, as well as injuries to internal organs and major blood vessels.

“MALKATA” AND AUDIO RECORDING DETAILS IN THE INDICTMENT

According to the prosecution's claim, on the night of the incident, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter asked Sultan Nur Ulu to play “Malkata,” a Roman dance song that her mother liked. The indictment argued that the music was played to lure Güllü into the room where the incident occurred and was part of a planned act.

Audio recordings of the moment of the incident were examined by Istanbul Technical University. The expert report stated that a voice, assessed to belong to a young woman, was heard saying “See you later” in a mocking and cheerful tone just before the fall. The prosecution concluded that these words were spoken by Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter.

The indictment alleged that after this statement, Gülter grabbed her mother with both hands from under the hips, lifted her feet off the ground, and threw her out of the window. The file also stated that in the raw footage of the home security cameras, three distinct thud and impact sounds were heard at short intervals before the fall.

The prosecution cited the fact that there was no shouting or rescue reflex from the people in the room for approximately 7 seconds after the first impact sound as evidence supporting the assessment that the incident was not a sudden accident.

WITNESS ACCOUNTS AND FORENSIC REPORTS

The indictment stated that Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter had sent messages containing harsh expressions about her mother before the incident and allegedly told some witnesses that she would throw her mother out of the window and kill her. The prosecution also evaluated a message sent approximately two months before the incident, which read “My mother is about to throw herself,” within the scope of a “mental preparation process.”

It was noted that in her initial statements, Sultan Nur Ulu said that Güllü was intoxicated and fell from the window, but in her subsequent statement, she described the event differently. Ulu's final statement, in which she alleged that Tuğyan grabbed her mother from under the hips and threw her out of the window, was included in the file.

Toxicology examinations revealed 3.53 promille of alcohol in Güllü's blood, and it was stated that the medications she used were not at toxic levels and no medical evidence of poisoning was obtained. The indictment also noted that no lubricant was found in samples taken from the room's floor.

The expert panel expressed the opinion that, considering Güllü's body structure and the window height, the possibility of an external force or contact being involved in her backward fall was higher than that of an accident. The Council of Forensic Medicine noted that it could not be medically determined whether the fall occurred due to suicide, an accident, or the influence of another person, and that the incident should be clarified through judicial investigation.

Evaluating the message records, witness accounts, audio analyses, expert reports, and behaviors after the incident together, the prosecution concluded that Gülter had premeditatedly murdered her mother. If the indictment is accepted by the court, the trial of Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter and Sultan Nur Ulu will begin.
