A new development has occurred in the investigation conducted into the Merkezefendi Municipality in Denizli. The police processing of the suspects, including Mayor Şeniz Doğan and her husband Mehmet Ali Doğan, has been completed.
Şeniz Doğan, Mehmet Ali Doğan, and 4 others were referred to the courthouse and subsequently arrested by the court. This brings the total number of people arrested as part of the investigation to 6.
As part of the investigation, police teams had previously conducted an operation at the Merkezefendi Municipality. During the operation, a large number of people, including Mayor Doğan and her husband, were taken into custody.
Following the operation, searches were carried out by police teams at the municipal building and at Mayor Doğan's home. Statements from official authorities regarding the details of the investigation are being monitored.
