A new operation has been conducted as part of an investigation led by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Organized Crime Investigation Bureau into the armed criminal organization known publicly as the "Daltonlar." Within the scope of the investigation, 5 suspects were detained for allegedly preparing an armed attack on Fenerbahçe fan leader Cem Gölbaşı.
According to the findings of the investigative authorities, it is alleged that the attack on Gölbaşı was planned under the instructions of Yusuf Can Güngör, who is said to use the nickname "Baron" within the organization.
DETAILS OF THE OPERATION
It is alleged that I.Ç., who was determined to have come from Adana to Istanbul to carry out an act on behalf of the Daltonlar, was apprehended in Beyoğlu on October 31. During a search of the suspect, 1 unlicensed pistol, 2 extended magazines, and 1 automatic weapon were seized.

As the investigation continued, it was determined that I.Ç. was staying in a safe house in Esenyurt with 3 other individuals who were said to have come from Gaziantep to Istanbul for the purpose of carrying out the act. C.C.G., A.D., and O.B. were also detained in the operation conducted at the address.

Following the assessment that the suspects had obtained the weapons they planned to use in the attack from Ç.A., a new operation was carried out on November 1. While Ç.A. was apprehended, 1 long-barreled infantry rifle and 200 rounds of 9x19 millimeter ammunition were seized during a search of his home.

It was learned that in their initial statements, the suspects said they were preparing for an armed attack on Cem Gölbaşı but had abandoned the act because the appropriate conditions were not met. It was reported that the investigation is ongoing.
