As the debate continues regarding demands for fee reductions from actors due to rising costs in the TV and film industry, actress Burcu Biricik has shared her assessment of the issue.
Biricik stated that there is a public perception that all actors receive very high fees, but that this does not reflect the reality. The famous actress noted that the names associated with million-lira fees are very limited in the industry.
"The acting market is only associated with millions. Believe me, there are only 3 or 5 actors associated with such millions. Everyone else is just trying to make a living."

Drawing attention to the income distribution in the sector, Biricik said, "This industry cannot be saved with the money cut from actors."
The debate over fee reductions, which has recently come to the agenda between producers and actors, has become one of the main topics of the industry, especially due to rising production costs and budget pressures. Biricik's statements were interpreted as a call for the debate not to be evaluated solely through the limited number of names who receive high fees.
