Mehtap reacted to certain celebrities whom she claimed were not there for Cansever while she was alive, alleging that they were frauds.

In her post, Mehtap emphasized that Cansever was a valuable person, stating, "I cannot describe my sadness to you; she was such a magnificent person..." Criticizing the posts made after the news of her death, Mehtap highlighted that the artist did not receive support while she was alive.

In her social media statements, Mehtap expressed her grievances by saying, "There are some posts on social media; people who never once went to see Cansever perform, who never asked her team if she was in need, have started sharing posts." Describing the posts of these famous names as "crocodile tears," Mehtap included the remarks, "You are liars, you are frauds. Those who love arabesque music, these are all fake, these are all crocodile tears."

Continuing her words, Mehtap shared the deep pain she felt over Cansever's loss, saying, "Cano is gone. Cano will never come back. I am one of the first people who received the news."
