As part of the investigation conducted by the Anadolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Bureau of Investigation for Terrorism and Organized Crimes, Dilan Polat, who has been in prison for 6 months, was referred to the Forensic Medicine Institute on May 20 after suffering a nervous breakdown in prison and harming herself.

A WhatsApp message was shared yesterday claiming that Dilan Polat would receive treatment at the Bakırköy Psychiatric Hospital. According to the report by Müslim Sarıyar from Halktv, it has emerged that this information, which was circulated many times, is incorrect.

It was learned that the report dated May 20, 2024, prepared by the 3rd Specialized Board of the Forensic Medicine Institute, unanimously decided that while it was appropriate for her to be placed under protection and treatment in accordance with Article 16/1 of Law No. 5275 and Article 57 of Law No. 5237, she was discharged after the relevant health board determined that her illness had entered clinical remission (a state of well-being), and that her sentence could continue to be served under prison conditions with the recommended treatment and outpatient check-ups provided.
