A new decision has been reached in the divorce case between businesswoman Çiğdem Sabancı, the youngest daughter of Erol Sabancı, and her husband of 27 years, Faruk Bilen. Following the ruling issued in April 2025, Bilen's appeal to the higher court was rejected.

The divorce case filed by Faruk Bilen in 2022 concluded in April 2025, and the couple's marriage was officially ended. As part of his counter-suit, Bilen had demanded a total of 54 million euros in non-pecuniary compensation, calculated as 3 million euros for each year of their marriage.

The court did not accept this request and ruled that Çiğdem Sabancı should pay 500 thousand TL in non-pecuniary compensation. It was learned that following the decision, Bilen took the file to the higher court.

According to the report by Sabah, Bilen also stated in his appeal petition that he did not want to get divorced. The higher court review, which lasted more than a year, was finalized last week following the start of the new judicial year on September 1.

With the higher court's rejection of the appeal, another significant stage in the divorce process between Çiğdem Sabancı and Faruk Bilen has been left behind.
