Known for productions such as Küçük Sırlar, Yalan Dünya, Anne, and Gönül İşleri, Gonca Vuslateri made statements about the Yalan Dünya era, one of the major turning points in her career, on İzzet Çapa’s YouTube program.
Currently appearing on screen in the series Ömür Usta, Vuslateri had drawn the attention of large audiences with the two different roles she played in Yalan Dünya. The actress’s character, Vasfiye Teyze, in particular, became one of the most talked-about roles of the series.
YALAN DÜNYA STATEMENT
Vuslateri also touched upon the process that followed the series, which led to comments suggesting there was a falling out between her and Gülse Birsel. Vuslateri’s response to a post Birsel made about a high electricity bill, in which she referenced her own salary during the Yalan Dünya period, had sparked rumors of a coldness between the two at the time.

The actress stated that she and Gülse Birsel are not on bad terms and that she does not hold Birsel responsible for the financial disadvantage she experienced. Vuslateri emphasized that Birsel was the screenwriter, not the producer, and expressed that there were points regarding the contract that she herself had not foreseen at the time.
"We are not on bad terms with Gülse Birsel; we talk. Gülse is not the type of woman to hold a grudge. Besides, Gülse wasn't the producer; she was the screenwriter."

Vuslateri stated that despite taking on two roles in the series, she did not have a special clause added to her contract regarding this, saying, “This wasn't about Gülse; it was something I hadn't thought about regarding the contract.”
Explaining that the Vasfiye Teyze character received much more attention than expected, the actress said the character was fed by her observations within her own family. Vuslateri stated that she combined details such as voice, speech, and gait by drawing inspiration from her various relatives.
