Sad news has arrived regarding Ürek, who was receiving treatment in intensive care.

The 59-year-old Ürek passed away despite all medical interventions.

According to information received from the artist's family and inner circle, Fatih Ürek's funeral will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Zincirlikuyu Mosque in Istanbul, and he will be laid to rest at the Zincirlikuyu Cemetery following the noon prayer.

WHO IS FATİH ÜREK?

Fatih Ürek was born in Erzurum as one of the 4 children of factory worker Şerafettin Ürek. Ürek's family moved to Bursa when Fatih Ürek was just 1 year old.

At the age of 15, he joined the extra cast of the Bursa State Theatre.

Working in the theater until the age of 20, Ürek received training from Mahir Canova.

After performing at the Taylan Gazinosu, Ürek moved to Istanbul.

Fatih Ürek released his first album, 'Yaktı Yaktı', under the Raks Müzik label in 1993.

Having also hosted many television programs, Ürek had suddenly fallen ill at his home in Istanbul on October 15, 2025.
