The ongoing fires in the Harmancık district of Bursa are threatening 6-7 surrounding villages.

CHP Bursa Deputy Hasan Öztürk, in a statement from the fire zone, said that the fires started in an area with dense pine trees and affected 8-10 trees. Öztürk said, "We received information that a pickup truck with a 03 license plate started the fire by pouring gasoline."

The fact that the fires started at different points at the same time brought up the possibility of arson. Öztürk stated, "The teams intervened quickly and extinguished the fire. However, there was a smell of gasoline, and we made the necessary warnings to the gendarmerie."

Stating that eyewitnesses also gave similar statements, Öztürk emphasized that they are following the situation closely.
