In Istanbul's Kağıthane district, a tense situation erupted on the street following allegations of harassment and stalking made by a woman identified as Zeliha T., who was returning from work. The incident occurred on Monday, September 14, at approximately 23:15 in the Şirintepe neighborhood.

Zeliha T. alleged that Burak G., who approached her, verbally harassed her and then attempted to kiss her. The woman further claimed that Caner E., who was with Burak G., had been stalking and harassing her for approximately 3 months.

It was stated that police teams conducted a drone pursuit in the area following the incident.

According to the allegations, Zeliha T.'s family came downstairs after she began shouting in the street. As a fight broke out between the parties, police teams were dispatched to the area upon notification. It was learned that the events were also captured on a mobile phone camera.

SUSPECTS TRACKED BY DRONE

Burak G. and Caner E., who attempted to flee during the fight, were tracked from the air by the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle team attached to the Kağıthane Public Security Bureau. The 2 suspects, monitored by the drone, were apprehended and taken into custody by police teams.

The suspects were taken to the police station after undergoing a medical check. It was stated that Burak G. had prior police records for "sexual harassment," "intentional injury," and "use of narcotic substances," while Caner E. had records for "sexual abuse of a child," "intentional injury," and "threats and insults."

Legal proceedings were initiated against Burak G. and Caner E. for "intentional injury," "threats," and "insults." Following their processing at the police station, the 2 suspects were released by the decision of the prosecutor's office.
