Family tragedy: Man kills son, critically injures wife

According to the information obtained, the incident occurred in the evening hours in the Dallık neighborhood of the Tire district. It is alleged that an argument broke out between Ş.K. (55), his son Aşkın Kaya (28), and his wife Gülşen Kaya (50) for a reason yet to be determined.

Upon the escalation of the argument, the father, Ş.K., became enraged and fired at his son and then his wife with a shotgun found in the house. Following reports from neighborhood residents who heard the gunshots to the 112 Emergency Call Center, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.

Health teams determined during their examination that Aşkın Kaya had lost his life. The critically injured mother, Gülşen Kaya, was taken by ambulance to Tire State Hospital, where she was placed under treatment.

Gendarmerie teams have launched an operation to apprehend Ş.K., who fled after the incident.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
