A shocking incident occurred at the Nevvar Salih İşgören Education Campus Multi-Program Anatolian High School located in the Konak district.

Unidentified students set a palm tree in the schoolyard on fire, then stood in front of the flames, posing with laughter while recording the moment with their mobile phones.

Some students, unconcerned as the flames quickly engulfed the tree, turned the dangerous situation into entertainment.

In the footage, it is clearly seen that the youths applauded, saying "They burned the palm tree," while another student filmed the video while laughing, remarking, "They burned it professionally."

The moments when the students took souvenir photos in front of the tree they had set on fire drew widespread condemnation.
