O.Y., missing for 6 days in Ardahan, found alive on Güneşgören Plateau

32-year-old O.Y., who had not been heard from for 6 days in the Hanak district of Ardahan, was found on the Güneşgören Plateau as a result of search efforts carried out by teams.

Relatives of O.Y., who lived in the village of Koyunpınarı, notified the authorities after they had not heard from him since Thursday, September 10, 2026. A search operation was launched in the region upon the report.

The Gendarmerie Search and Rescue Team (JAK) and the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) teams conducted operations in rural areas and plateaus where O.Y. was thought to be.

Following approximately 6 days of efforts, O.Y. was reached on the Güneşgören Plateau. It was learned that O.Y., who was taken to the hospital after initial checks by medical teams at the scene, is in good health.
