In the Merzifon district of Amasya, 24 people were injured after an intercity passenger bus overturned into a ditch. It was reported that 2 of the injured are in critical condition.

According to the information obtained, the bus belonging to the Has Ağrılı company, with license plate 04 ABG 628 and driven by M.S., was traveling from Istanbul toward Ağrı when it lost control in Merzifon, hit the barriers, and overturned into the ditch. The location of the accident was cited as the Gökçebağ village area in some sources, while the Amasya Governor's Office statement identified it as the Çobanören area.

Upon notification, AFAD, emergency health, police, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region. The injured were taken to hospitals by ambulances after receiving initial intervention at the scene.

It was stated that 20 passengers and 4 crew members were injured in the accident, with 22 of the injured in light condition and 2 in critical condition. The Amasya Governor's Office announced that a judicial and administrative investigation has been launched into the accident.
